Wellington Shire: Traffic Surveys Underway in Heyfield. You may notice temporary traffic and pedestrian survey cameras in place between at several locations across Heyfield, Sale and Yarram. Survey locations in Heyfield: George Street (Temple Street) and Temple Street (Harbeck Street).
The Department of Transport and Planning is partnering with councils across Victoria to collect traffic and pedestrian movement data to help identify road safety issues and inform future planning. Please note: the survey technology detects movement and traffic patterns only. It does not capture or identify pedestrians, drivers or vehicle details.
You may also notice a newer camera setup being used, with all equipment housed within the enclosure at the top of the pole.
