Supporting our community

You can support our community in many different ways:

• Heyfield Resource Centre: Nature Craft - Free kids Nature Craft school holiday activity on Wednesday 23rd Sept.

• Wellington Shire: Free Microchipping for cats and dogs.

  Many cats and dogs in Wellington Shire go missing each year, and sadly, not all of them find their way home.

  This initiative aims to increase the number of lost pets that are safely reunited with their families as quickly as possible. By providing this service free of charge, we hope to support pet owners and families across Wellington Shire and make it easier for lost animals to be identified and returned home.

  As part of this campaign, Wellington Shire will be offering free registration for cats, helping give more lost cats the best possible chance of being quickly reunited with their owners.

  Thanks to the Neighbourhood Houses across the Wellington Shire who be hosting the sessions, which run from 10am to 2pm. No appointment is necessary. For safety, dogs must be on leads and cats in carriers. Please bring ID in order to complete the relevant paperwork.

  Looking for something active and fun for the kids on the Grand Final Public Holiday?

  Gecko Sports Gippsland is running an action-packed AFL Footy Fever Clinic for boys and girls aged 5–12 years of all abilities!

   Kids will enjoy learning new skills, fun games and exciting AFL challenges.
