What happened this week?
Week 8 Term 3 2026
This week in a nutshell…
MUSIC
Well done to everyone for their performances at assembly. It was fantastic!
Next week, we will have our last performance for this term, with Rooms 5 & 6 this time!
ART
Students experimented with water to make these beautiful flowers. Cedric and Mason came to my office, very excited and proud to show me their artwork, which was very special. I cannot wait to see what else will be at the Art Show on 3rd December.
Soccer Clinic
For the next 2 weeks, all students will take part in Soccer Clinics, at school, conducted by GeckoSport. Since the World Cup, we still have many students playing together this game of ‘football’ so we thought that giving everyone more skills was a great idea. They will also learn some modified games to enable all abilities to play together.
By the look of things, the 3/4 classes enjoyed it!
Fathers and Others’ Day Stall
Thank you to all parents and staff who helped with the Fathers and Others’ Day stalls, on Thursday and Friday. As usual, Lyndal made sure there was lots to choose from. I hope all students found what they wanted and that all special people in their lives appreciate the gifts.
ABC Gippsland Radio
Our school was invited to participate in the ABC Radio’s morning show, as we did last year too!
Maggie, Caleb, Millie and Huxley read the weather while I was invited to talk about the Heyfield women’s team we are developing for Cricket! The students were a little nervous, but did a very good job.
Prep Excursion
The Prep students went to the West Drouin Farm on Friday and looking at all the photos, I can tell it was a very successful day! The smiles are awesome and I bet more than one child (or adult) wanted to bring back a baby goat with them!
This excursion was part of the learning they have been doing on Living Things. Thank you to the staff and parents who helped make this day very special.
