What happened this week?
This week in a nutshell…
MUSIC
Well done to the vocal and keyboard groups for their performances at assembly! You were brilliant. Next week, we ill have the drum group so we will start assembly at 2:15pm.
Pen Licences
Well done to Sharlee Robinson, Millie Chandler, Annie Capes and Travie Willshire for getting their pen licence this week at assembly!
Well done Bodhi for getting to the next level after completing your Golden Words’ list! Keep up the good work!
ART
Students last week collected items they could use in their artwork. The results are very creative and amazing.
Recess Fun
Much fun was had last week during recess. So glad the weather is holding up on weekdays so we can be outside!
Harmony Day
Last Thursday, while classroom teachers did some planning and moderation of learning assessments, students took part in learning activities related to ‘Harmony Week’. They learned about the concept of cultural diversity and ‘home’. You can see that dancing was one of the activities and Lacey and Emma were quite happy to join in!
Dress-up Day - Neon colours and Silly Sock Day
Our first dress-up day of the year was much fun and it was good seeing staff take part in it too. All the socks looked colourful and donations will be sent to DownSyndrome Victoria. Thank you very much to everyone’s involvement.
A bit of fun…
This week’s fun with staff came after the ‘clinkers’ challenge’ where students and teachers had to guess the colour. Miss Hass and Mrs Lewis lost! The children loved the fun and many of the adults too! Throwing whipped cream at your teacher doesn’t happen often!
