What happened this week?
MUSIC
Good work to Room 4 for their performance today at assembly. You can all watch the recording on our Facebook page.
Next week, we will have Rooms 1 & 2 performing!
Showing empathy
Last week, Room 5 students wrote cards for the local police officers to show their support and empathy after the tragic events of the week. They delivered them last Friday.
Regardless of the stories and politics around this, teaching our students empathy and linking it to our school values and motto of 'being kind is what matter the most to us.
A snapshot around the school…
Mrs Stuart’s surprise
Our week started with great fun when we surprised Mrs Stuart, not only once but twice on Monday! It was a great opportunity to celebrate the person she is and how much we value her and appreciate all the things she does for everyone. Thank you to all of you who attended our special assembly and thank you to Rhonda’s for joining us too. It was definitely a Birthday Week as Kylie, Nadine and the kinder students sang for Rhonda again today during their visit.
Happy Birthday Rhonda!
Rooms 5 and 6 Learning
Discovering food and tastes from neighbouring countries has been the focus of this week’s learning for our 3/4 students. They are learning about other countries around Australia and researching about the different cultures that surround us. This past week, they investigated food!
They tasted coconut water and tapioca! From some of the faces on the photos, I can infer not everyone was a fan!
Spelling Bee Finals
Students have been busy learning about Vincent Van Gogh and creating artwork inspired by this fantastic artist. Can you recognise which famous painting inspired them?
More Kinder visits
Some of our grade 6 students visited today and read another book. Each Monday and Friday, for the past few weeks, we have had our Lions Cubs walking with Lacey and Mrs Stuart to read a book to the kinder students. This is to allow for a smoother transition for our new preps, for 2026.
PMP
Climbing, walking the plank, bouncing and catching are some of the skills our prep students are practising when doing PMP. They have been doing this every Thursday afternoon. A huge thank you to Charlie’s grandma who comes and help each week.
Fathers and Others’ Day Stall
A huge thank you to all the parents who came yesterday and today and help run the stalls, with helping students choosing gifts, helping with money and wrapping everything so Sunday can be a special day.
To all the fathers and step-fathers, granpas, uncles, big brothers, mums and step-mums, aunties and everyone who care for our students and that are father figures: Have a wonderful Sunday.
