What happened this week?

This week in a nutshell…

MUSIC

Apologies for the change in plans at assembly yesterday. Next week we will definitely have the chance to hear the vocal group. We will start assembly at 2:20pm.

Timber Festival Drawing Competition

Congratulations to Jack Molphy for winning a prize at this year’s Timber Festival.

You can be very proud of your fantastic effort with your drawing. Well done!

Gifts of Kindness

One of our Wednesday activities’ rotations involves students drawing and preparing cards they will place randomly in letterboxes, around town, in the next weeks. This is always a highlight for our students and for people in the community.

Tunnel Ball

We have been practising in playing tunnel with some of the junior students to introduce them to new games that involve working as a team.

During extended play, some of the senior students agreed to join us to make it more fun and more competitive, but we need to keep working on keeping our eyes on the ball!

Grade 6 Tops

Our grade 6 students designed their tops at the end of last year. They did a wonderful job in creating a uniform that represents them. They were presented with their tops at assembly.

A bit of fun…

As some of you may know… I am a Blues supporter and kids love to give me a hard time when their team plays mine, so when Carlton wins, (which is not very often, nor guaranteed lately!), I like to let students know.

I play the theme song, sing along all day and, yesterday I rushed during lunchtime to cut out some logos to hide them in bags and lunchboxes. I also rushed to make flags, which ended up being upside down!

Thank you for joining in with the fun everyone. You are awesome! And yes, I know I will cop it badly soon.
