What happened this week?

MUSIC

Good work to Rooms 5 and 6 for their performance today at assembly. You can all watch the recording on our Facebook page.

Next week, we will have Room 4 performing and the week after, it will be Rooms 1 and 2’s turn.

A snapshot around the school…

Athletics

Well done to our students who participated in the District Athletics Carnival on Wednesday. They displayed great sportsmanship and excellent behaviour. It ended with pouring rain and they all showed good resilience too! You can all be very proud of yourselves.

School Wide Positive Behaviour Support

We won an award!! Not just any award.. we won a Bronze Award for SWPBS.

Last week, I was proudly presented with this award, which acknowledges the wonderful work all staff have been doing to build a safe, caring and positive environment at our school. We believe that if we want to see a certain behaviour, we must teach it and acknowledge it with a reward at first, then less tangible rewards like certificates or praises.

We have seen significant decrease in incidents and behaviours of concerns, and I hope you can join me in thanking all staff and students for this great achievement.

Spelling Bee Finals

Well done to the students who took part in the Spelling Bee finals today: Noah Dinsdale and Ethyn Leask represented our school for the grade 5s and Jacinta Carr and Deegan Meacham for the grade 6s.

They did very well with some words being very tricky again this year!

Concert - Thursday 18th September

We are getting ready for the school concert! This is just a sneak peek of one of our props for the concert. Thank you to Bill and Megan for building and painting them with students. Only about three weeks until you get to see it all!

Tickets are on sale at the office from Monday.
