What happened this week?
This week in a nutshell…
MUSIC
Well done to the guitar group who was the first 2026 performance at assembly. You can watch it on our Facebook page, or closed group.
Each week now until the end of the term, we will have performances. Next week will be the vocal group, so we will start again a little earlier, at 2:20pm.
Leadership team communication
Transition leaders: Reminder to be kind to other students. If you need help, make sure to see the students with pink vests.
Environmental leaders: Make sure to use the compost bins.
Lunchtime activity leaders: An activity is organised for each day and will be announced on the loud speaker, each day.
Computer Monitors: A reminder to not plug the chargers in the USB holes and do not pull on the cords.
Library Monitors: Book Club magazines have gone home and is due back on 19th March.
Junior School Councillors: 20th March is the next casual clothes day and the theme is ‘Neon’ (Fluro) and crazy socks too. This will be a gold coin donation dress-up day to raise money for DownSyndrome Victoria. Socks will be for sale at the office too.
Swimming - Wellington Network Level
Congratulations to Maggie Smith who, on Tuesday, competed against other students from school in the network. She came 4th and it was very close to the 3rd winner.
You can be very proud of yourself Maggie. Well done!
Some special certificates
Well done to the Prep students who have passed the level of ‘Gold’ for their sight words.
Congratulations to the 3/4 students who received their pen licence!

Maths in room 8 and 7
Students are learning about decimals and their place value. Students had to create towers and measure each time they made it taller. Students had to compare, order and round up/down their measurements.
Literacy - Preps
Students in Room 4 have been learning to recognise, use, write and represent letters of the alphabet.
Wednesday activities
The first rotation of cross aged activities has started. Students could choose between cooking, going to the Laurina Lodge, helping the op shop at the church, hands-on learning, gardening, making cards for ‘Gifts of Kindness’ to put later on randomly in letterboxes in town, playing games outside, playing soccer or Lego Master.
