What happened this week?
MUSIC
We will have Rooms 5 and 6 performing in a couple of weeks (week 7) at assembly, followed by Room 4 in week 8.
Mr Bartlett was very impressed with last week’s performances and congratulates all students for their growing confidence in singing in front of an audience.

Wednesday Activities
Last Wednesday was our last rotation for activities and all students enjoyed their chosen activity before spending the rest of the term practising for the school concert. Yoga looked quite fun, and much more dynamic than the lessons I have ever been to! The gardening group used the ‘worms’ pee’ to help the soil being more fertile. Hudson decided to smell it and clearly didn’t really enjoy the experience! The Lions Cubs went for a walk around town placing cards in random letterboxes. The bugs group looked at various bugs found in the water from the Wetlands, while the cooking group learnt how to make cheese and bacon scrolls. It smelt delicious!
PJ Day
Yard duty was looking a little different today with so many colours. A fun day in our pyjamas to raise funds for A Better Life For Foster Kids. We raised just over $150! Well done everyone!
Book Week and Bookmarks Australian Record
Next Thursday will be our dress-up day for Book Week, on the theme of ‘Book An Adventure’. Thank you very much to my long-time friend Jacquie Thomas (I know! So many Thomases!) for building this fantastic tree in the library so we can hang all our bookmarks.
This year, Nambrok-Denison PS, Airly PS, Yarram SC, Stratford PS, St Michael’s PS, Cowwarr PS, Loch Sport PS have joined us for this year’s breaking record the for the ‘greatest number of bookmarks created by students’.
We will start the day with the dress-up parade at 8:50am, then the bookmark event at 11:10am. You are all welcome to attend.
