What happened this week?

Message from Bartlett

Well done to Rooms 1 and 2 for a fantastic performance today, singing the song ‘Riptide’ at assembly. Next week, we will have Rooms 5 and 6 performing on Friday 4th July, the last Friday of term! See you then!

A snapshot around the school…

BIKE ED CHALLENGE

Well done to Caleb, Dusty, Nate, Jacinta, Archie, Lewis, Xavier, Malachi, Jett, Grayson, Heath and Alana for taking part in the Bike Ed Challenge organised by the Wellington Shire, and run by GippSport. Our students and St Michael’s students had to complete 5 tasks, which consisted in scoring points, in different ways. Some of them were not easy at all! The slalom was a little tricky!

It was great to see both schools involved in this event together. There will be more next term.

Cybersafety Session

Leading Senior Constable Kim Kell presented very important information about safety when interacting with other people online, and safety rules all children should follow.

It is always a good idea for parents to go on the eSafety Commissioner’s page and read new information. Remember that the legal age for social media apps like Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok is 13 years old. No primary school children should have access to them, and especially without parental supervision or controls. These rules are changing soon, so stay tuned.

Gifts of Kindness

Thank you Mrs Merlo for organising thank you cards for our helpers and ES staff. They also created some cards we can go and place randomly in letterboxes. Such a nice way to finish the term.
